I am still not feeling well

Well the test results are back and according to Dr Connie, my thyroid test came back as normal. My level was 1.8 and normal values are between 1-4. But I still have no energy. I am shedding like a sheep and walking around the house like an old man. I'm just not the same dog I was a month ago. Even my coat is dull dirty brown instead of the gorgeous red and white i used to be

Dr Connie suggested more fruits and vegetables and they will re-evalute me again in a few weeks. More fruits and veggies? She has to be kidding!

I already eat super premium dog food. I'm sure the HuMom will be looking into changing my diet altogether.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. As you can see in the picture above, my coat is a mess. :(

Have you been following Stormy's online classes? That's a very good profile of you, Simcha.

We heard that you weren't feeling well so we thought we would stop in and wish you well. Maybe with 12 paws crossed we can help. Our Baby Callie is also not feeling well we had to leave her at the vet for a week. Poor little thing. Mom hope she is getting all the loving she needs..

Oh, poor Simcha, I'm so sorry! It really did sound like hypothyroid!

Your humom may want to join a Yahoo Group called K9 Nutrition. The lady who owns the list runs the B-Naturals.com site, she is very knowledgeable about dog health and natural health care for dogs. Here is the link for the group: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/K9Nutrition

I hope you feel better! My humans are on vacation next week, so I'll be staying at my grandparents house and being spoiled, but I hope you feel better!

Oh Simka, I sure wish I knew what to say to help. Maybe some fish oil, or flax oil. Have they checked for diabetes or Cushings?

I sure hope you find out what it is, and get well soon!!

I don't know anything about being a vet, but I know you're getting some good advice from the other moms on SMS. I do think carrots are a tasty snack, so maybe this fruits and veggies thing won't be bad.

Something for your mom to think about is maybe even with a 1.8 reading you might need to be on thyroid medication anyway. With a lot of boxers this reading would to low even though it is within the normal range.
